Twill silk scarf picturing found hair elastics from the streets of Vilnius.
Vilnius scarf was created according to the shape of the walking paths. These paths are also called 'Desire Lines' and are made by locals to establish the shortest route between places. It is almost a new layer to the city, but less official. To see those paths you can have a look into the book of different paths traced by looking into satellite images.
Twill silk is a type of textile weaves with a pattern of diagonal parallel ribs. This is done by passing the thread over one or more warp threads and then under two or more warp threads and so on, with a "step" between rows to create the characteristic diagonal pattern.
